What is the blog about?

Songs, Stories & Curious Hauntings -  is the little corner of my website where the songs wander off the stage and bring a few strange friends with them.

At its heart, this blog is about the music: the stories behind the songs, the memories that shaped them, the people who inspired them, and the odd little moments that somehow turned into lyrics.

But it will also be more than that.

You may find poetry here. Short stories. Half-true tales. Personal reflections. Scraps of my imagination. Creative rabbit holes...

Maybe even the occasional thought that has no business becoming anything at all, but refuses to leave me alone.

I called it Curious Hauntings because that is what ideas feel like to me. They linger. They follow. They tap on the windows of your mind when you are trying to sleep. Sometimes they become songs. Sometimes they become stories. Sometimes they become poems, characters, memories, or little mysteries that are waiting, begging, and hoping to be written down.

So pull up a chair, pour some coffee, and forgive me in advance if I get a little dramatic. I am a writer, after all. It comes with the territory.

"All that is gold does not glitter, Not all those who wander are lost; The old that is strong does not wither, Deep roots are not reached by the frost. From the ashes a fire shall be woken, A light from the shadows shall spring; Renewed shall be blade that was broken, The crownless again shall be king."” - J.R.R. Tolkein

The words to that particular masterpiece are now lost somewhere in the ether of my childhood imagination, which is…
